I don't even say that because if its not a "Good Morning" whats the point of saying it and besides I hate the morning, I'm definitely not a morning person. I never thought you had to mean it when you do say "good morning", I thought it was something to wish the other person your saying it too to have a good morning or day. or just to greet the person because its the beginning of the day and you made it through out the whole night without something happening to you and when you get up, is that what it means??
I rarely even say it but I guess I could start saying more often

Pretty much, although also, a lot of the time, it's a form of "hello". I certainly am not wishing them a bad morning! People should maybe try MUCH harder to say what they mean ALL THE TIME, but certainly "good Morning" is not at the top of the list of what needs improving! When I'm not having a great morning yet (just awake, whatever,) I usually just say "morning" "cuz it's at least true.... Just me, maybe? I have a question for you: Why do you ask?

I get a kick out of saying "Good Morning" to the people I work with. I start work in the evening!

Certainly. Especially if I am all cheerful and happy and perky (even if I don't feel that way really) and they aren't, drives them nuts. But I do mean it, even though I hate mornings myself. But one should mean it what they say or not say anything at all when being polite to people. So I also mean good afternoon or good evening too.

Most of the time. I can remember a time that I said it to someone as a joke, because I worked nights and slept during the day time. And, I said it to my night time co workers. :)

Most of the time I do. But I think such courtesies are becoming a dying breed.
