Try listing some of these facts:
>There are 7 million American Muslims who are entirely law-abidig and peaceful.
> If you look at Bible verses like Josua 8:24-26 you will see that claims the Bible is more peaceful than the Muslim Qu'ran are false
>Only ignorant bigots try to convince people that the majority of Muslims are not peaceful simply because they follow a different religion

Hope that helps! LOL

Yes. Most of them are peaceful, in fact. However, it probably isn't correct to put "extremist" Muslims or "radical" Muslims and "peaceful" in the same sentence, because anyone who follows their religion of choice too feverently usually attempts to impose it on others, which isn't conducive to peace in any manner.

I mean, think of the question from their point of view. They could ask, considering that we are mostly a Christian nation, "Well, those Christian Americans think Muslims aren't peaceful and our bombing us or are salivating about it! Can we really put Christians and "peaceful" in the same sentence! NO! JIHAD! ALLAH AKBAR!"

It's just how it happens. Both sides of the coin are open to stereotyping, unfortunately.

Sure. I personally know such people. However, it's useful to look at why we in the west tend to see Muslims so negatively. It's simplistic to say that it's justifiable to hate them as a religion or ethnic group because it was Muslims who attacked us on 9-11 -- or else we would hate white people because after all, Timothy McVeigh was white and he too was a terrorist. But that's selling short on the folks who do have a point about militant Islam. There are folks who can't separate their own religious beliefs from hatred of the US.

I'm not sure we'll ever get those folks to change, and frankly, I think it's best to deal with them in no uncertain terms. But we need to distinguish between the sort of criminal IN ANY RELIGIOUS GROUP who straps kids to bomb-laden vehicles and drives them into crowded marketplaces to blow them up and the sort of law-abiding grandfather who goes to work, pays his bills, worries about his kids' future and tucks them lovingly into bed at night.

In NOT looking at who the peaceful Muslims are, we are inviting each new generation to hate us more. In tolerating the hatred of those who know no peace but our destruction, we are inviting attack. In order to walk the "middle path" on this issue, we MUST look deeper than our own suspicious of the religious practices of others.

There are a lot of radical Christians and Jews out there who deserve the same suspicion -- but I sure as heck am not going to hate all people of those religions just because I can't tell them apart on the street!

I dont think anyone who is associated in any Religion related to Israel and the Middle east are ''peaceful'',including most Christians.History tells it all.It seems like these radical [you read that?RADICAL] religious groups of terrorists start bombing us and everyone thinks they are the Devil, like Christians have never done a thing.
I yawn when I read such topics.

The majority of Muslims are as peaceful or more

Indeed the Crusades was Christians going to
war on Muslims.

Yes, it's not only okay, it would be accurate. Millions of Muslims live peacefully; it's the few who don't who create the stereotype.
