Why do guys have that dark shade on their face even after they shaved?

You can still see the hair beneath the skin, which is ready to emerge in a few hours. You'd have to somehow remove the entire hair instead of cutting it off to get rid of the color.

Once my cat had to be shaved for surgery, and I could see the pattern of her fur clearly in the shaved area.

Some men's beards grow at a faster rate than others. Known as the 5 o'clock shadow, this is a normal variant. There are a few men that actually shave twice a day and others that live with it. No biggy, It's all good. Have a nice day

This is common when a guy has a thick hair growth. Typically, Italians are known for this, also called a "three o'clock shadow". Their body (face) grows hair at a fast pace; about twice the pace of any other guy.

It might be caused from not getting a close enough shave. I would try a better razor or go electric. Besides, that scruffy look might be a hit for the ladies.
