High school is a fish bowl..swimming around there for a few years. Then you are out in the real world. The prom... spending more money, the pressure of dancing with people...over inflating your ego. A dress you will never wear again. 15 years later. I only see one maybe two friends from high school once a year. I did buy a dress. I picked a prom date...hung out with friends. Had pictures taken with girls friends. I thought it was boring. It would have been more fun just going out with a group of girls...no pressure of a date. Over all I can say I did it... The memories fade even pictures of my one girl friend who died before graduation. Carpe Diem!

I didn't go and don't regret it one bit. It was the same night as my 18th birthday so I went out with a bunch of friends to a dance club/bar and had tons of fun. I think if I didn't have something else going on that night, I would have regretted not going, though. I never liked any of the homecoming dances so I knew I wouldnt have any fun at prom...

I just went because I wanted to wear my gorgeous dress, and just to get out the house and do something. I didn't go all out and get a limo or anything. It was okay.

properly what u think of that's important if u desire to circulate to the promenade then circulate top forward if u do not then do not. i could say u have a small inner maximum social gathering because of the fact what's using going to the promenade the place people do not additionally recognize then with ur friends wher u csn have a outstanding time with those that care approximately u. if the porm fell on my b-day then i could circulate to the porm and function my social gathering the subsequent weekend, yet i'm a "girly" and that i'm friends with absolutely everyone at my college so do what ever feels top properly solid success

Definately! I did have fun at mine (this was 20 yrs. ago). It may not have been as "spectacular" as I had always dreamed it would be, but I am glad I went. I have heard some of my high school friends that didn't go say that they regret it. I know I would have regreted it if I didn't go. Alot of it depends on what you do to make it fun for you. Go for it.

I never went to my prom and I do not regret it at all. Once it is over, it does not mean a thing.

I'm on my b/f's log in to answer this. I didn't go to mine and it's something I will regret until the day I die.
