Depending on the type of shock your using, it will have a valve stem ( like a car tire) to add or remove air or a knob that turns. DO NOT USE A REGULAR AIR COMPRESSOR TO ADJUST THE AIR. They sell a special pump if that is required.

Look at the top of the shocks. Facing the inside of the bike, there is a hose for air - don't mess with it. If you put more than 10lbs of air, you can blow the seals. Plus you need a low pressure, tire pressure gauge to adjust them.
Also there is a cable in that same area with a knob for adjusting. Follow the cable. The knob might be under the seat.
