Of course it's true - because America is CAPITALIST. America runs on money. America is for individual rights. I was born in USA, I'm Greek/Irish. My wife was born in Singapore, 100% Chinese. We travel back and forth to Singapore, China, Thailand all the time. Oriental thinking is SO different from American. America is for individuals. Eastern thought is for society. America is about money, In Singapore, a woman could leave her purse on a park bench, and it would still be there in the morning. I live near Chicago, population of about 3 million, 2000 murders a year. My wife is from Singapore, population about 3 million, with 20 murders a year. In Singapore, the transportation system, like a bus ride, cost more the further you go. But people's tickets are never checked to see if they cheat. They would not want to take the chance of 'losing face' for a dollar. In America, you would be laughed at for putting full fare in if it was on the honor system.
However, for example, since I am not a Singaporean, I am not allowed to own property in Singapore. I see their point. I'm not insulted by this. Why do you let things like this bother you? That is the way it is. Screaming how unfair it is will not change things, same if I screamed in Singapore how unfair it was I can't own property. Do you think anyone there will listen to me? In fact, I have a snowball chance in hell to change their government. If you want to, at least you could try and change things in America without being thrown in jail.
