Wheat Gluten is one of the affected ingredients in the food that is making the pets sick and causing kidney failure. you want to look out for canned food that is in a gravy.

you want the first ingredient listed to be meat or poultry of some sort, the higher up on the list of ingredients the more of it there is, I also look for rice as it is digested more easily than other grains.
