Maybe you won't be impressed, but the Honda Civic is a really decent car! Great mileage, doesn't break down, and enough options you should be able to get something you like for under 20 grand.

If you want comfort and the most features for the money, and the longest warranty in the car business, get a Hyundai Sonata. Customer satisfaction is very high.

Get a new/used car. what i mean is a newer car thats been used but was returned becasue somepne changed there mind. that knocks the price down and you can get a great discount on lets say a 2006 ford mustang with only 11,000 miles and still under warranty for like $19,000.

I'm impressed with that Scion one that has two doors.....my ex bought my daughter one for turning 17. It's impressive, I'm not big on cars, I like BMW's or Mercedes myself, but she looks good driving it, good for her. Its a good starter car that she will get a few tickets in, bang it up a bit, etc.....

ok right off the bat the PT Cruiser is a worthless pile of ****.

get a TOYOTA COROLLA.

they are built way better than any american **** box. they are very affordable(12 change standard, 13 change automatic), fantastic on gas (36 mpg), runs amazing, you'll never have a single problem with it.
