Time takes care of it. You can only grieve so much. Eventually you get over it and move on. Consider it the guy's loss. You're obviously young. And the young have always wanted, even demanded, immediate satisfaction. Unfortunately, that's not the way the world operates. Sometimes we have to take it on the chin and move on. When you start feeling down and sorry for yourself try to analyze the situation. Is there anything that you can logically and reasonably do to have the situation come out as you want it to? If the answer is no then file it away and forget about it. There was an old saying back in my time: "there is always more fish in the sea." There are roughly three billion men in the world today. Don't pine over the loss of this one. You still have the other 2,999,999,999.

It is true that meditation does help to bring the mind to think on a neutral Chanel.
Sit down ,close your right nostril and breath with the links (in out) t.
han close links and breath right .You can do this 2p3 min it does balance mind.Than you can meditate ;take a mantra like OM and repeat it at the beginning loud than silently.Do not use violence against you mind ,the kind of I stop thinking(this is still a thought ) this is not meditation. You will have thoughts ,it is normal, come back to you mantra ,again ,and again 15-20 min.morning and evening . Your negative thoughts will cease the 2nd or 3th day.
Imagine a golden Light going from your heart through your all body.
You will find lot.Don,t worry about that.
(sorry for my poor English)

This is a wide ranging question, but, I suggest that you learn meditation, at least some easy technique to quiet your mind so you can sleep. One easy way is to sit up straight, cross legged or an a chair, with your back straight and stare at a candle burning. Watch the flame and focus on it. As your mind goes to thinking, bring it back to watching the flame without criticizing yourself. Try doing that for 5 minutes at first and work up to 15 to 20 minutes a day.
When you lie down to sleep, say a prayer or if you don't pray, think of positive goals. Think of something good you did today and something good to do tomorrow. Then try to relax and let go. Try another technique until you fall asleep: notice your breath. Feel your inhalation, coolness in your nostrils and expansion of your torso. Then hold a bit. Exhale slowly and think that all the dark thoughts are leaving with each exhalation. Try to do this until you fall asleep. Keep going back to your breath if your mind goes to thinking.
This sort of thing has helped me. Cut aback on caffeine or stop it. I still have days of deep depression, but it always passes. I hope it helps you.

Try to focus on something positive, anything, maybe you could even try to write things down to help you...find a good book, a love story you know will end good, and imagine yourself in it...keep telling yourself that everything, absolutely everything happens for a reason, and if you were rejected, then, GOOD for you, 'cause that person just missed out, and you got LUCKY, because you don't have to hang with them, 'cause you will go on to do better things...

One way to control your mind is through meditation.
To get over a bad experience, you have to replace it with some other experience or idea. You should try to immerse yourself in something else and slowly your pain will subside, but you may never forget. Helping others and showing others kindness is always a good way to turn your mind to new things and it may give you an opportunity to engage new people.

I MAKE myself say positive things about negative situations. Learned that in survival school. Even if you think that there is nothing positive about the situation, make one up. I didnt much care for sitting in a 4x3 box of bamboo in the weather while I had rotten food and dirt thrown at me, but I managed to stay sane by telling myself I was gonna shove that crap right down their throats when I got out. It kept me goin, Flippin them off even though I was screwed. Take it on the chin sweat heart and tell the world to kiss your azz.

Listen to the radio at night, it will cheer you up and keep your mind busy, or read a book. Knowledge is power and you will have much to talk about the next day.
My Dad always leaves the tv on when he sleeps, I asked him why and he said it keeps his mind occupied even when he sleeps. Too much to think about, like you. So this is a stress reliever for him. I think he is deaf though, it is so loud. LOL

I suggest studying meditation. It has done wonders for me, and the controlling of one's mind is a useful tool. Or you might have clinical deppression. In that case, talk to your doctor. Goood luck. I use meditation simular to how eastern monks do. Close eyes and become enveloped in you mind. You will get a hightened sence of the energys around you and inside you. use thi to use your mind.

Don't resist a thought you don't want. Accept it the thought and let it remain there as long as it must but ignore it, when you push it it only comes closer in your face. Accept the thought and it'll have no power. And eventually it will fall away.
