I know this may sound odd, but I was wondering if you have to be a senior in order to set up an interview with a Princeton alumnist or with an admissions counselor?
I have a great friend who really just wants to go to Princeton, and she is a highschool junior. I want to do something nice for her birthday, and I think talking to an alumnist or admissions counselor would be the greatest gift she could ever receive.

Many prospective students visit colleges in the Spring of their junior year or the summer before their Senior year.

Why not send an Email to the admissions office at Princeton. Tell them that you want to set up an appointment as a present. I've provided a link to their contact information below.

In your note -- do not use the word "alumnist" -- use either "alumni" (plural), "alumnus" (male singular) or "alumna" (female singular).

If you mean "interview" as in the interview that is part of your application, you have to have applied to get one of those (you can apply for admission as a junior).

If you mean just an informal conversation with an admissions officer or a local alumni, that should be no problem at all. Just call and ask.

Btw, Princeton does not give formal on-campus interviews.
