I wouldn't. I'd bring you a beer. If you didn't have any beer in the 'fridge, then that would be rude.

Tell them you have family here, too. We need you, Robin!
I go on the computer all the time when I have guests over, but only when they're full, happy, and on the verge of falling asleep. I talk at the same time, since I'm on a laptop. As long as you're there socializing with them, it should be okay! And if they have a problem with it, explain to them that you have an addiction here, and shall not be deprived of what you need...

Did you invite the guests? If you did I would say yes that is rude. If you say no then no it is not rude, final thought would be to politely excuse yourself and go on the computer if you are bored and there is someone else there to entertain the guest.
Perhaps you all need more to do....besides vegitate in front of the tube and eat.

Ask yourself this..Did I really care when I got on? Do u really care now? I mean If there is more then 1 then stay on.Besides If they thought it was rude they would say something( or at least I would if I did). But I personally Wouldn't care. U could always ask if they mind. If you don't want to ask them then Sounds to me like U know the answer.. Stay on.. Stop being bored.Besides when u watch a movie u don't talk anyways.

No, not if you are not interested in the movie. Is it rude of them to watch a movie when you want to be on the computer??

Why sit and watch a movie you're bored with? Do what you want - they will survive. If they think it's rude, how rude are they to sit and watch a movie you're bored with?

I would avoid the computer because it is kind of a personal thing and there is always plenty of time for chat. When my friends come over I turn the computer off.

Well, I'd say it's okay to get on and check your email, but since you are the host and they are your guests, it's probably more polite to be with them, even if you are bored.

A little if you invited them over for a movie... If it were just a coincidence that they put in a movie and you are going about your own business than no.

do what makes you feel good. But if they are special to you and you dont see them often, you might want to make an effort to do something with them tonight. Not just for their benefit but for your own. If you rarely see them, now is the time to enjoy their company. If you are bored, maybe they are too. And you are the hostess.......
