I'm talking about strangers. It really hurts me and I know it shouldn't. How do you manage it?

Depends on how my mood is. If I'm already in a bad mood (whenever *I'm* in a bad mood I don't take it out on others who had nothing to do with it) and I run into those types of people, unfortunately I do not cope well. My blood boils and I glare at them and sometimes mutter something mean about them under my breath but loud enough for them to hear. They can really upset me and make me wish I never had to be around people again.

How many mean and cruel people do you run into each day? I always have strangers irritate me thoughout the day, but it is nothing major - I can't even remember who has annoyed me today. You need to grow a thicker skin, and like that one guy said, leave dealing with those people to the authorities.

I undertand exactly what you are saying, in my mind, you have taken the next step in being a kind and generous person. I was once one of these people and recently I began to understand myself and others. You have to try to understand that we are all different and some have had a different shake at life than yourself. Do not accept their behavior, but pride yourself in being kind and respectful. Over time, if everyone did this, the world would change. You hurt because you care - don't loose it.

I feel sorry for them, it's them that's hurting, I just go my way and turn the other direction, I don't let anything bother me. Maybe people who are close to me but not strangers.

If they're really bad, I track them down, find out where they live,
kill their partner and plant the gun in their house. Let the authorities deal with them. Works well.

I'll usually ignore it and walk on, minding my business. Wearing a headset helps in shutting them out, or just being really engrossed in something, like a book or your phone or your shopping or whatever. Occasionally I'll slip and say loudly and rudely, "May I Help You?!?!" Usually shuts them up and sends them on their way.

Me, I laugh at them, but everybody develops their own defensive way to cope. You'll figure something out that works for you in time. Good luck!

I ignore them. I'm not going to let them ruin my day, just because they may be having a bad day.

Actually, I just pity them. Think how crappy their lives must be. That always makes me feel better.
