Ummm...I have a son in Afghanistan. Last time I talked to him he sounded like a real mess. If he comes back in one piece I'll have a serious mental problem to deal with I'm afraid. Sucks he is one of the most decent people I've ever known.

Pro war supporters do seem to forget about this side of the coin, the innocent people who are hurt and killed. It's when I hear those folks that say "Support our Troops" that gets me.. But would they go out themselves and fight this war. And how many of them have family members who are in active duty, very few. Just take most of the politicians. This war was totally unnecessary.

I am totally against the war. But if you do something wrong you are responsible to fix it, you just can't walk away and say "oops" and leave the people whose lives you have affected to take all the nasty consequences of your mistake.
We should leave and get our soldiers out of there. But someone brighter than Bush is needed to figure a way of stabalizing the situation so we can bring our soldiers home without setting off a civil war.

It wasn't Mohammed, that's for sure. And the Jihadists don't have much patience with the followers of the guy that made this statement.
Why don't don't you slap some photos from 9/11 up, or the millions of people killed by the Islamo-Fascist Global Jihad.

There was FAR FAR worse in previous wars.
Does that mean we shouldn't have fought the Revolutionary war?
World War I?
War is NOT a pleasing thing. Supporting a war is NOT supporting the unpleasant things that happen in war.
The media should be HEAVILY censored and monitored during war time so that what has now happened with this war doesn't happen. That being painting only one side of the story, the negative, the anti-Bush side. Even when far more GOOD things have happened than bad.

War is ugly. War is hell. If I get reported for abuse for saying that, so be it.
3000+ dead Americans on 9-11. Ugly and hellish as well. Thousands of dead Iraqis under the Saddam Hussein. Ditto.
For the Iraq war (or any war for that matter)? Not on your life. Nor on mine. But unfortunately on the death of many others.
I can't articulate the questions, and I don't know the answers either. These questions are thousands of years old.
I pray for all of us tonight. Because where this really started...and where it will end.....is unknown to me.

...that's quite a photo album... (that's why it's called WAR). I'm not justifying it by any means... some years ago, I was in a war in a little obscure country called Viet Nam, the "pictures" I saw were closer then your album and came with "smells" and "live voices" (sometimes)... It's not a question "if I am for the war"...(are you...?) ...it's a matter of what do we do about it... please, feel free to submit your suggestion to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington DC... or Central Command, McDill AFB, Tampa, FL or maybe "Damascus" Nancy or "Tehran" Rosie will have an answer...
I remember "Hanoi Jane" thought she did....

Here's my photo album: http://www.spiritofamerica.net/site/success
Check out the news stories that go with them.
War is hell, no doubt.
So is tyranny and despotism.
Sometimes life just sucks.
Sometimes it's just about trying to help people have less sucky lives.
**EDIT** People who do not want be soldiers in a potential war should not ENLIST in the military.

It is war for a reason. No one wants anyone to die but that's the way it is. Look at the photos of torture victims under Saddam's reign and you'll think twice about your liberal propaganda.
