Don't let 'em kid ya. ROFL really means "rooting out frog's legs". This expression comes from the old Cajun practice of burying their frog legs to age them for a few days before eating them, thus making them extra tender. Of course, the legs do smell a bit funny when they are dug up, so ROFL has passed into the language as slang meaning "YOU STINK!"
