what is k? is it a constant or has relation with s? this differentiation is refer to s.

this is the actual question. really no s in it. but v have to differentiate according to s. means let y=g(s), find dy/ds.

it doesn't state k is a constant. why k cannot treat that has relation with s?

this question was given by my lecturer in the topic of differentiation. my answer is
pi(dk/ds) (cos kpi) and he said wrong.

Another problem here: Tan(pi/2) is infinite(therefore
undefined)! Are you sure you wrote this correctly?

k is a constant but i dont see any "s" in ur equation, s isnt in the equation. there has to be parameters defining what k is, if not then i cant help you
