If they stay healthy they just might set the record for most games won in a season. They are a baseball machine.

They sure have a shot at greatness this year !! The Mets have a lot of depth and are not reliant on one or two key players. GO METS !!!

You say that now because the Mets are off to a great start, (and I do think they will go to the world series this year). However keep in mind that the baseball season is a marathon, not a sprint.

Well see how well the Mets can truly hold-up through the long haul as the schedule grinds on and scouting reports against become more detailed and up-to-date with time pressing on.

If they stay healthy they have above average pitching. If they don't stay healthy, meaning any injuries at all, and they'll watch Philly take the East.

They're like the Indians were for most of the 90's-built to win in the regular season and go home early in the playoffs.

The Mets are an old team and that will be a factor this season. Don't count on them to pass the 100-win mark. Mid 90s at best.

Heading into the season, the biggest question for the Mets was their starting pitching. So far, it hasn't been an issue. The staff has been spectacular. They have outscored the opponents 31 - 3. To answer your question, of course they will lose. But they will win a heck of a lot more than they will lose. Go Mets!!!!

Are you serious? Obviously they'll lose a game. Even the best lose 60 a year. And the Mets are far, far, FAR from being the best. They're a 90 win team that'll make the playoffs because they don't have a lot of competition. With with zero pitching and zero depth, they're not going to far. They'll have a hard time fighting off the Phillies this year. And if they do make it to the World Series, they're going to have to have a lot of luck on their side. Whoever makes it from the AL will be a far superior team than the Mets.

Are the Mets good? Yes. Are they invincible? No they are not. The Phillies and Braves will give them everything they can handle this year and thensome. I actually like Philadelphia to win the division myself. I am just not certain they can get the consistent pitching all the way through. Without Martinez and relying on a 40+ year old right now (Glavine) to be your "Ace" is not exactly the best recipe for success right there. They are good but not really great.

well they might set the record, but interleague play will be interesting, but everyone will lose 50+ games over a 162 game season, do NOT forget how long the season is in the Big Leagues

If they are healthy, it doesnt neccesarily they will win EVERY GAME. NO TEAM EVER had a perfect season, winning every game. right now, its physically impossible, besides, its not even two weeks into baseball, the mets can fall apart. I know this dissapoints you, but its true.

I can tell ya one thing... they ain't losing in the series. They'll, again, dominate the NL. This year, steam-roll through the playoffs, and beat whoever makes it in the AL. Why? They got heart, talent, determination, and a chip on their shoulders from last year.
