Who first said, "Are you for Real?"?

My 90 year old aunt claims her brother said it for the first time in the 1950's. Is this possible???

I seriously doubt it honey. Everyone says it and it would be next to impossible to find out who said it first. Now let me ask you, "are you for real" in thinking that anyone could come up with this answer? Even if someone says they know the answer, how could it even be proven true? Think about it. Take care

no. it started with the valley girls in the early 80s. I was a teen in the 50s and we didn't say that back then
