I am appying to UC in the fall.
Where do i put a class like Yearbook Publication on the UC application.
Is it a college preparatory elective or is it an extra curricular?

Extra curricular. College preparatory electives are those academic courses that are called "college prep" in high school, e.g., a "college prep" writing course. Suggestion: can you get a counselor at school to help you with the application? They know all of these terms plus what the schools are looking for in applications--no guesswork that way.

All the best to you.

For things that don't fall neatly into categories, you're free to choose the category that makes most sense to you. Just make sure you don't exaggerate your experience or put things into categories where they don't fit at all.

May God bless you.

In the grand scheme of things -- it really doesn't matter.

Whether you put it in one group or the other won't affect the admissions process.
