whats a hubby? and a tourniquet?

Hubby is a "cute" name women use for their husbands.
And a tourniquet is usually either a piece of material or rubber tubing, used wrapped around an extremity (ie leg or arm) to 1) if placed between pulse point and injury will stop profuse bleeding
2) for injections wrapped around upper arm so injector can "see" the veins better, restricts blood flow
3) same but for taking blood -say donation to Red Cross etc.

I have a hubby--he's my husband. But the tourniquet?? I know what it does. You tighten it where the blood flow from an injury needs to be stopped. But in what context the tourniquet is in that the person said? That has me baffled.

Hubby = husband

Tourniquet = Those rubber things a doctor ties to your arm when you go for a blood test or to donate blood, so you don't bleed too much. It can also be a cloth or something else, it's just something to put on so you don't over-bleed.
