I think it says alot about his chances for the Democratic nomination. When you step back and objectionally look what his campaign has done, it is amazing. Even though Hillary Clinton raised about $1,000,000 more than Obama to set a new fundraising record, she did it with only 50,000 donors. If she didn't have Bill Clinton ( the fundraising guru) at her side, I wonder how much could she have raised.
Jeeper_peeper is both right and wrong. Obama has taken money from PACs for his senatorial service, but not for the 2008 Presidential Campaign. However, Hillary is looking to add to her Presidential nomination finances by rolling over about $10,000,000 (of which some portion is PAC money) of her Senate re-election finances.

Impressive. None from PAC, big corporations or paid endorsements huh? I wonder how many other candidates can say that.
To the member: jeeper_peeper321 you are mistaken. Obama has not taken any PAC money. Contact them yourself. They have collected money on his behalf and he said NO!! but he added Thank you but NO!
Check your resource before you start posting lies. It's a shame you Hillary fans are all alike, just lie to get ahead. That's not nice.... and it breaks my heart.

It just goes to show that Barack is touching people. Not by flashy rhetoric, but by common sense. People are skeptical and cynical of the government. His ability to convince even the most cynical of us that there are people who go into political office to do what they are supposed to do, support the American people. If you have not read the Audacity of Hope yet. Really you have to read it. If we elect Barack Obama as president we can truly usher in a new age of politics. One with "grown-ups" instead of kids hurling insults and beating each other on the playground.

People really are supporting him because they like the idea of liberating the "racial restrictions" of washington. They are supporting him just because of this. Noone is really listening to him, even though he doesn't fit the descriptons of the "black man" in america. It seems the same way with hillary: most support her JUST because she is a woman. I don't know what a PAC is, but that is my personal opinion.

I think you need to do more research.
Because Barak Obama has taken PAC contributions.
All you have to do is " google "
" obama pac contributions "
and you will see for yourself.
EDIT:
wow, I get two negative marks for telling the truth?
Every presidential candiate takes pac contributions, you cannot get elected otherwise.

Political action committes generally wait a little longer to see how the race shakes out before they put their money down.
