I don't think the badges add much, if anything, to the Y!A experience. I've asked the administration to just do away with them, but I got no response. Most of the people here in P&S are cool with or without badges, so who cares?
But hey, what's wrong with geeks? ;-)

Who knows what top contributors are these days. The little orange badges come and go. Dont get excited yet. Everyone here is cool and its a family of sorts, lol

Well I was a TC when that first came out, in Cats. Then it disappeared for a week or two and I got another badge for PS. Now it is gone again! I don't understand it. I got several more top answers since then and my percentage has gone up, but still no badge. Why must you play with my emotions Yahoo, WHY?!

don't know how many points you need, i seem to gain points then lose them by asking questions, think some are cool others are definitely geeks

Who cares? I think it's kind of cool for people to be recognized for answering and getting best answers in a particular category. I don't get why it made some people so mad. Isn't that childish?

Don't worry, the Top Contributor badges come and go, so you don't get that attached to it anyway. Mine's gone right now, I think? I don't even pay attention anymore whether I have one.

I was one, but it got taken away when I got suspended. They are cool. LOL, hoepfully you will become one soon. But you dont need to be a top contributor to be cool!
