I just bought two, a black and a white, and was just wondering if there was any way to tell the sex

Sure you can, it's really easy. Looking at the bottom of the fish, the bottom most fin is called the anal fin. On a male it is long, thin and tube shaped while on the female it looks like a normal fin.
Here's a drawing that shows it very well. The female it the top fish.

You can tell by the shape of the anal fin but before they are mature all will look like females. Once they mature the males will develope the thin and pointed anal fin.
Mollies are usually mature when sold in the pet store. I did once puchase a molly I thought was female but matured about a week after I bought it.

the anal fin in males is narrower and tapers towards its end. the female has a broader anal fin which looks like a 1/4 of a circle (the radius of which is located at the base of the fin). Apart from this feature, behaviour of the fish may help you in identifying the sex of your fish. In nature, males are known to show off their features such as fins or colours. So if you find any fish showing off to other fish and/or pursuing them you can be sure that it is a fish being chased is a female and the one that is chasing is a male. Incase if your fish are sexually matured, the dorsal fin of the male will be broader than that of the female.

If I remember correctly on mollies you look at the fin at the bottom of the fish. If its a closed fin it kind of in a straight line its a male fish. If the fin is wide open like a fin is normally its a female fish.

well the females anal fin is like a triangle nad the males is like a sharp knife kinda, thorn.

if you have a group of them just wait 30 days and any females willstart to get fat, they get pregnant very quickly.
