Did anyone read the article about who he thinks is the best player in the NHL?

Crosby already makes Vinny look like an amateur!!
Vinny is good but I would never even put him in the top five best players.
Edit--I know he's not. I was quoting what Burns said in the article. That's why I said what a joke.

Lecavalier is not that bad of a pick. I don't agree with Burns necessarily, but I guarantee you if he were not on the Lightning's team, they'd be out of the playoffs. He has more experience and grit than Crosby does. He is a better goal-scorer. He is a MUCH better defensive player than Crosby, which may well affect his scoring. And I've seen Crosby get a little star-eyed when he's played against some of the top players. I still think he deserves the MVP, but Lecavalier is not as horrible of a pick as you guys make him out to be. Probably just more of that northern prejudice against southern teams that you see on here so often.

no way is vince the MVP. Yes, he is an EXCELLENT player, and i do think him and st louis are the best duo, but hes not the best player. It has to be brodeur. The devils are one of the top teams int he league despite being in the bottom 5 in scoring. Not to mention he doesn't have the defense that teams like anaheim have. Brodeur deserves the MVP that has always escaped him.
In terms of a position player, i'd say crosby, he singlehandedly brought his team to where it is right now
