The science of weather is very young. As recently as the early 1900's, weather scientists not only did not understand tradewinds, they also didn't understand how hurricanes worked, much less where they were most likely to strike. This lack of knowledge cost many lives in the early 1900's, very specifiacally, the Galveston hurricane of 1900. Since weather science is so young, I find it hard to believe they have any conclusive evidence that tells us what the temperature and weather was exactly like over a hundered years ago.

That said, there are plenty of historical documents that point to weather patterns that have occurred in cycles throughout various regions throughout recorded history. I have now lived in south Texas for over 30 years (moved here from the East Coast when I was a teenager). In just 30 years, I have watched these cycles of weather patterns... a few years of drought, followed a few years that include heavy (serious flooding) rain, followed by a dry spell, followed by a wet spell...

Fact is many scientists agree about many things. HOW-big-EVER, not ALL scientists agree about everything.... including Global Warming.

History plus my many- years- long interest in meteorology have not convinced me that global warming is a fact... and not enough scientists are in agreement to convince me either.

**EDIT** Cuba was the hurricane expert in the late 1800's, early 1900's.. I did want to include that... they did have a better understanding of hurricanes than the U.S. did, however, the U.S. was trying to phase out their reliance on Cuba back then and depend on our own baby National Weather Service... too bad for U.S. hurricane victims back then.

Science has been in agreement at the start!!! The only thing
I believe in is the money that some people are making off of this. Oh and by the way, the same science was in agreement with the Ice Age of the late 70's and can you guess how much they made off of that? And yes I'm proud of myself!!

Liberal scientists who get big government money grants will hype the global warming scam. Some scientists have proof that the activity of the sun has more to do with global warming that anything else. I once joked that the liberals would tax the air you breathe. It may be coming to that.

it is obvious that your question is not about global warming , but the THEORY of global warming due to greenhouse gasses.

it is true that a number of scientists now agree that cyclical global warming due to non-environmental causes is occurring. on the other hand the greenhouse theory is falling out of favor, since real science is debunking it.

Science is supposed to be based on facts, not consensus.

Whenever someone says that some scientists agree on anything; hide your wallet and kids. The ripoff is coming soon .

I believe in the normal non-human related variations in climate over long periods of time.
I flat out DENY "global warming" as it is presented by the son of mother nature, Al Gore.

Mars is going through IDENTICAL variations.

How can that be? Duh, it's the normal life cycle of the sun.

Stop bashing one of the greatest Presidents America has ever had. You libs don't care how you gain power, do you?
