I don't know if this would help much, but I vaguely remember a problem with the Chrysler 'JA' body (Cirrus/Breeze/Stratus) cars having common problems with water intrusion into the tailight housings itself. This would cause one or more of the tailights not to work. The only fix was to replace the entire tailight housing itself. I don't know if it can still be ordered from a Chrysler dealer parts department though, due to the age of the car. Hope this helps.

Use the bulbs that came originally with the car. If checking the switch for continuity checks out (this means that you take it out and check it with a self-powered test light or ohmmeter) and if there's no power to the brake side of the sockets, take this car to a mechanic. You have anything from a bad ground or something to do with the BCM (body control module). This is beyond the scope of the home mechanic to fix, and you can get really expensive if you screw it up.

i own a repair shop, and i own a 98 stratus, you need a bulb for it,make sure its the exact right size for it ,or it wont work right at all, also check the other bulbs while you got the panel off and can get to them if they have a blackish look to them replace them they will blow in a short while, good luck i hope this helps.,be sure and check the ground on these also, but i own one,and we haven't had any problems other than bulbs,no tail lights needed, good luck.

it's not a fuse. do you have the bulb in backwards (it's possible on some bulbs) or you have a bad wire. the easy thing is if you have a bad wire it will be toward the back of the car. but try turning the bulb around first. good luck

The bulbs are dual filament ones. It sounds like you still have a burned out bulb. Check the contacts on the socket and make sure they are both making contact with the lamp.

Sounds like the ground wire on that side isn't making contact...

sounds more like the ground, then a fuse.if it was a fuse, then none of them would work.
