In proper conditions, the 25¢ feeder will live to be 20 years old and grow to at least 10". Sadly most are very abused. I know some that are 12-14 years old and doing great.

Gold fish live for a long time in GOOD condition,( not in a fish bowl) I had a friend that had a 10 cent gold fish that lived for 20 years. Most fish are uncared for after 3 years, so they dont last as long.

Depends on the species. A goldfish kept in ideal conditions can live a few decades.

Well cared for (plenty of room, clean water and a well balanced diet) a common gold fish can live for over 50 years. here have been several documented cases of this age range and some claims of over 75, but those are unsubstantiated.

generally about 2 years. It depends on how well you keep them and if they are real killers. My fish lasted 2 years while my neighbor's lasted like 9 years. So it really depends on the owner and the fish.

The average life span is 20 years. I have heard it can live to be 30, also.

i read that a goldfish can live to 40 years!
my goldfish is about 3 or 4 years old right now. maybe longer.

well i world's record is like 46 years old, some guy in england won him a a carnival.
normally about 1-3years....maybe 4

It depends on how well you take care of them. I've had one live for a day, another a year and a half.
