You can do it yourself if you know what you're doing, but I'd suggest taking the instrument to a qualified repairman or luthier where the saddle or the nut can be shaved to the right specifications.

They have the means to do the job quickly and proficiently. You, on the other hand, stand a strong chance to ruin the saddle or nut after a lengthy attempt. Besides, neck action adjustments shouldn't cost no more than $10 tops.

you mean a electric guatar right?
ampli do u have that?
u can adjust in there....or if stil not working the problem is ur guitar buy a new 1....
