Conservative core beliefs
Basic Republican Principles
1. Strong National Defense
Defend the United States against enemies foreign and domestic. This means that if a country threatens us, we use force to defend this country.
Defend the United States’ borders against unlawful invasions.
2. Small Government
The government’s primary purpose is to defend this country. Being involved in every aspect of our lives is way outside its scope.
3. Low Taxes is the Most Effective Way to Spur Economic Growth and Prosperity.
Cutting Taxes pumps money back into the economic system and thus increases tax revenue.
Government cannot create wealth, only take it or attempt to redistribute it.
4. Personal Responsibility
Individuals must rely on themselves to address their issues in their personal lives. Government is not a solution, only something that complicates problems.
If a person wishes to acquire more in life, they must earn it, not wait for nor expect the government to provide it to them.
5. Free Markets and Capitalism are the Cure to Most of Societal Problems.
While some regulation is necessary, most of it stifles economic progress and growth.
The solution to a problem in the market place can be solved when individuals or companies have a profit motive to solve it.
Deregulation lowers costs and increases consumer choices.
6. Strong Family Values
Parents have a responsibility to their children until they become 18. The government must not usurp those responsibilities and rights.
Children are best served when their mom and dad are married and live together. Government should promote the sanctity of marriage.
7. Respect for the Environment, not Subservience to it.
Humans have been blessed with a tremendous Earth. We need to respect it by caring for nature: animals, water, land, and the like. Life leaves an impact on the world and there is little than can be done to stop it. Common sense environmental policy is good.
Government must ensure that natural resources are not recklessly over used, as well as new resources created. All life consumes resources and if we need more power, we must make it.
Conservation is a great idea, but we must also understand that as economies grow, so does their need for energy and resources. We must create the resources to address this.
8. The Constitution is a Literal Document, not a Living One.
Judicial activism on both ends of the political spectrum is not acceptable. Too often judges insert their own opinions that overrule the Constitution. Foreign law is not relevant to the American Judicial System, unless the legislature says so. If we as a society continue to allow judges to make new law, we lose representation in the legislature.
9. The Right to Private Property Must Be Respected in a Free Society.
In a free society, a person must have the right to have private property and keep the government from arbitrarily seizing it. A person must run their business as they see fit. Government may intercede, but not in the way they currently do.
A person’s wealth is their own property and the government does not have the right to continually seize it.
Liberals believe in the opposite.

green woman, that government is superb that governs least. And governments do no longer "care" - that's no longer their purpose, and it is going to no longer provide them a license to confiscate the earnings of human beings at its whim.the only element a central authority knows the thank you to do is get larger. don't be a baby approximately government for something of your existence. Liberals are very prepared on attempting to stress their recommendations of a suited international on all and sundry else, so as that they'd sense greater efficient approximately themselves. they do no longer seem to be content cloth to finance their courses privately. No, they insist that all and sundry could finance them, or perhaps though if the courses artwork or no longer does not matter. What concerns is that the liberal feels righteous. it rather is his crucial. "Neo-con" does no longer propose something to me; that be conscious expired of overuse a protracted time in the past. on each occasion I hear or examine it, curiously the speaker or author is parroting it. i could be prepared to wager that perfectly 2-thirds of the individuals who throw it around haven't any concept what it potential. they only intend it as an epithet. Conservatives, on the different hand, fairly prefer minimum government. They see the sufficient data that there is almost no longer something the government can do this the indoors maximum sector can no longer do greater effectively.

Conservatives want the US to be a proud, successful Republic based upon capitalism and individual effort. Liberals want the US to be a giant welfare state that dictates to it's citizens what they must repay to the world for all of the perceived exploitation that has occurred of the last 400 years.

Conservatives believe in less government, less taxation, and moral values. They believe that Americans should keep most of the money they make to stimulate the economy by buying goods and services. Liberals believe in higher taxes to support the poor and those who wish not to work, more government, and progressive social change. In other words, liberals hate America. Just kidding, that's only half true.

My Grandmother told me something when I was young. She said, "Always remember Republicans are for the rich and Demarcates are for the poor! BUT never think that means that either side is honest, don't limit yourself by a label. Be your own person."

coke and pepsi.
the terms liberal and conservative mean nothing to about 95% of americans who are neither.
only on fox news and in the parasitic halls of government do those words actually have any meaning.
as it turns out both of those places seem less relevant than ever to what is really going on out there...

The Main Differences..
Conversatives.. stand for personal responsiblity, God, Nation, helping others stand on their own feet.
Liberals believe... in avoiding personal responsiblity, giving-out hand-outs (to make them wards to the state via welfare), blaming others for thier failures, they hate Christianity, and they will askew the facts and lie to win their point.
