There are so many pros to having a pet. They are so much company, give you unconditional love, they're funny and entertaining, always happy to see you no matter what mood you're in and they are very forgiving. I have 2 dogs and they are our children. They don't even think they're dogs, they act more like children. The only cons would be having to have someone to take care of them when you travel or take a vacation, housebreaking is a bit of a challenge and really that's the only bad thing. I can't imagine not having my dogs in my life. they are such great companions and always cheer me up after a bad day.

that can vary depending on the type of pet.
Fish..con...cleaning the tank
pro....pretty to look at
Dog...con...training, doggie odor, occassional poop in the house
pro...unconditional love, you get exercise with them
cat...con...the litter box!
pro...low maintainance...no need for walking
Pets are a big responsibility but, also give a great amount of joy and love to one who truly loves animals.

My wife and I adopted a pet shortly after we got married. A pro - it taught us new responsibilities that I believe carried over for when we had our daughter. A con - your schedule now revolves around their schedule.

PRO, they are great companions if you treat them well.
Cons- they are DEPENDENT on you. You can't just see them when you feel like it.
They can be expensive depnding on the pet.
As far as I am concerned the pro outweighs the cons.

PRO- they are cute, they are always there, they keep you company, they can be your best friend
CON-they are messy, they will cost you money , if they get sick the vet is soooo expensive, you need to pay allot of attension to them, sometimes they make too much noise

pro: you wont be the lowest on the food chain in your house
con: you still have to deal with their $hit
