thongs can cause cancer?someone told me that their dr. told them that and was wondering if anyone else heard of that before

No.

Constant irritation of delicate tissue will cause some cells to mutate, and they may eventually become cancerous.

Chances are that if you are getting that level of irritation from a thong though, you will switch to a more comfortable brand or type long before any of this happens.

I cannot see how cloth will cause and has EVER caused cancer. If thongs could cause cancer then we would all have cancer because most things that we wear are made of cloth. In short, the answer is no.

Come to think of it, that's just ridiculous. I've heard many things but this one ices the cake. Hahaha.

No but they do cause lots and lots of infections because it allows no breathing. Go for the butterfly thongs, if you want to have no panty lines. And, at night, go comando, yes... no panties at all. You gotta allow breathing!

Oh geez - no! But you can get an infection from bacteria going from the anus to the vagina.
