HELP. i really wanna get my belly button periced. im finally achieving a great stomach for it too, so it makes me want it periced even more. but im so scared.. and ive herd some pretty bad stories about getting it done, and even after words. Does it take a lot of work? Is it really that painful? Any more advice?

It will hurt and once you have it done make sure you keep that
"great stomach" other wise theres no point to the peircing.

If you go to a reputable shop that is clean and professional, it will make the piercing process and healing a lot better. I've had mine pierced twice and the first time I didn't go to a very good shop, which led to complications through the whole healing process. The actual piercing part is just a pinch, it will sting for a few seconds but it's not too bad. It will be sore for a few days. If you take care of it following your piercer's healing regimen you shouldn't have too many problems with it. With mine I just had to clean it twice a day with antimicrobial soap and I've had no problems with it this time around, and just don't play with it and stuff and wash your hands before you touch it.

No, i had it pierced when i was... 16 i think. i have my tongue pierced in two places, and it hurt more to pierce my belly. when i had it, i was scared to even lay on it. But if you're considering it, don't wear tight pants or a belt..

I loved my piercing at first (i bought over 50 rings for it). 3 years later, the thought of repiercing it doesn't even cross my mind, although i'm still the party girl that i was when i got it. Personally, i wouldn't recommend getting one only because i took it out 4 months later, and stilllllll have a scar (and never even opened half of my rings).

it only hurts for about 2 second which is when they actually pierce it. the clamp hurts more than the actual piercing, and thats not even that bad.
the aftercare isnt terrible. you wash it twice a day and you spray bactine on it 3 times a day, which only takes another 5 seconds.
sleeping might be a bit nerve wrecking the first day beause youll be worried of sleeping on your stomach, but by the second day you wont think twice about it. youll only want to show it off ;)

Ummm... if you really want it done that much right now than you should go for it but when your a little bit older will you really want it. I would just think about how much your going to like it now and if it's worth having for a while. If you think that your not going to keep it for long than don't do it.
