I was just wondering any info anyone had on this....my friend was telling me she saw someone do it and had heard of others doing it and i just wanted to know if anyone out there has ever done this and how?and if any arrests have ever been made over a theft like this...not that i would ever do it i dont have the balls at all,but it would just be interesteing to know how one could do this and if anyones ever been caught doing it?

I wouldn't be surprised, but no, I haven't actually heard of anyone doing this.
Me? I'm that weird lady who argues with the computerized voice at the self-checkout.
Yep... it's easier to just stand in line and let a real person check me out.
As a side note to your question: Anyone who would steal from the self-check at Wal-Mart would also have no problem stealing from Wal-Mart in general. Because of how much it costs everyone else when others steal, I would hope that anyone attempting to steal from ANY store would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
