Is Jack a good songwriter/singer? Yes. Is he great? No. Is he the best? I'm tempted to say that there's thousands better than him due to undiscovered talent.
Here's a short list of other songwriters/performers who are either at or above Jack's levels:
Eric Johnson
Carlos Santana
Eddie Van Halen
Brett Gurerwitz
Jacoby Shaddix
Keith Richards
Roger Waters
Eric Clapton
Steve Miller
Sting (one of the most diversified artists on this entire list but I'm not choosing any bests)
(a 15 year old kid from a "Dark Side of the Moon" tribute band who can learn a solo in 15 minutes tops)

nicely in case you dont think of your good at guitar or making a music then definatly take classes. I do the two :) verify you guidance all of the time. I play guitar between 2-5 hours commonplace. Youve have been given to be fairly commited in case you wanna be somethin and get observed. additionally enter competitions, positioned up movies on youtube, get a track myspace. All that stuff can assist you get observed :)

people who dont understand the genius of jack white and his sister need serious mental help. whatever Jack does is gold.. his last album is practically perfect... no one is like him. i wish i can find his new songs yet to be released .. but not having much luck. is he the greatest? no.. but he's in the top 50 of all time.

Who cares? Today's music rots in comparison with classic rock. If you want to know about real singer/songwriters, go check out anything put out in the 70's.
