It depends on the context of your thoughts....are they automatic..where the person keeps creeping in at odd times...are they obsessive...or are you merely wondering.....
and most importantly....how do those thoughts make you feel?

Some like to call it love, I think it's infatuation.
You get this image in your mind that this "ideal" person you're thinking about will be the total completion of your dreams and meet all your needs.
Balanced love has elements of passion, commitment, and emotional intimacy, which all take time.
BUT, this consuming thought person may indeed be worth investigating.

that depends on what those thoughts are - write a list of what those thoughts are and deal with them accordingly.
