I am a Sun conjunct Mercury, Venus, midheaven, and Pluto in Scorpio. My best friend is an Aries Sun conjunct ascendant, and Mercury. Verbally? We go back and forth but I usually win in the battle of wits. He is a natural fighter as am I. So, Aries is the ruler of offensive power and Scorpio rules defensive power. An Aries keeps moving forward. A natural cardinal initiating manner. And a Scorpio never budges an inch. Highly willful and fixed in nature. But also Scorpios are known to harbour the same amount if not more aggression than the fire signs. They are both true soldiers of war. Both Spartan like in mentality. But I believe a Scorpios power is more controlled and maybe even more explosive. Atomic. An Aries is the angry football hooligan and a Scorpio is the soldier on a mission. A well trained Scorpio could be the reason you hung up the gloves. One sting. One swing. Capitalizing on the first mistake. Defensive power.
