Limbaugh is the champion hate-monger and spreader of lies. His show is full of self-serving rhetoric and corporate sponsors, not bad for a tubby druggie with multiple divorces. Many of his fans are partisan bumpkins who just like someone to repeat their ignorance back at them, at the expense of actual people. There's no substance to his "anaylsis" just a bunch of mean-spirited drivel that would make Joseph Goebbels blush.

I definitely think he and the liars at Fox are the reasons for the deteriation of information and real political conversation. They have none on their shows. They just think they can prove their correctness by shouting down the other person they are either interviewing or talking about.

Absolutely - those political rant shows started soon after the Republican majority voted to remove the Fairness doctrine from requiring broadcaster of obviously biased shows about news and current events to make time available for opposing viewpoints.

The trash they spew would not stand up to correction by factual arguments. No one would have had the nerve to be shown to be loud coarse and wrong -but without argument, they can keep it going.
The end result has been a poisoning of politics, though.
