Hi ladies. Maybe I will sound ignorant, but what does the term "tipped uterus" mean? Having read book "Charting your Firtility" (and being ttc), I started checking muscus and uterus position (sorry for such details), and it feels that my uterus is kinda a bit shifted to the left side. What I mean, it's not exact in the middle. And it feels that the opening is a bit to the front side (so to say-- to the tummy). Is it what they called a "tipped uterus" or it's perfectly all right? Please, I will appreciate desent and mature answer. Thanks a lot.

Tipped uterus is the term reflecting if it is more toward the tummy or toward the back. I have a tipped uterus and happen to have birthed six children so there is plenty of hope for children with a tipped uterus.

I really have also been informed that I really have a tilted uterus. i'm 40 3 years previous and characteristic given beginning to 4 babies. I really have under no circumstances had an "challenge" with my so-observed as tilted uterus. After your infant is born, in case your cramps are nonetheless that undesirable, contraception pills will a great deal lessen your flow and cramps. there is no longer one individual in this earth that has a "textbook" position, length, or functioning body area. A tilted uterus in simple terms means that you're literally not in textbook position. No massive deal!

A tipped or "tilted" uterus occurs in approximately 20% of women and is usually something they are born with.

If it's not troubling you then you won't need to seek treatment for it. I would not consider it a hindrance to your fertility unless more than 12 months go by and you still cannot conceive.

In that case, you would need to seek the advice of a doctor or fertility specialist.
