I want a simple way to set up apache and get hosting a website. What is the easiest thing to do for this?

I just want to download apache, but don't understand what to do for the vhosts file setup to get it up and running. Thanks.

Well virtual hosting can get confusing.. Just get a control panel and let it handle the setup you'll keep from going nuts!
even lets you add "resellers" "users" etc with a web interface!

Try http://zervex.com they have a free one easy to install or http://webmin.com (too complicated for some) or
