Have a bowl of that ribbon candy sitting on her coffee table...you know, the rock hard kind you had to pry apart or break with a hammer in order to eat?

Yeah! My grandad had a strange bowl of nails in the shed that he would never throw out too!

Yes! I would always see it in a glass bowl in the middle of the table every time I went to visit her.

No, she had a bowl of those really cheap sugary jellybeans that all taste the same. And sometimes they stuck together because, when my cousin was about 2 or 3, he would taste them looking for the ones he wanted, and put back the ones he didn't. (But not after we figured out he was doing that, of course.)

No, but she used to keep toffees in a large round tin, the trouble was, she kept them in the hallway cupboard and this was the airing cupboard which housed the hot water tank.The toffees were all melted and sticky,

no,my gran had a small table in her livin room with the likes of butter,mustard,etc and sandwiches on it,she would put a t-towel over them and let her two cats walk across them,i was very skinny as a child!!!!!

My gran loved her bars of toffee. They were called Highland and had little cows on the wrappers. That's one of the few memories I have of her

yes and surprising she could eat it because my grandma opens it and leaves it sit for a week or 2
