With a blood test they can find out about 2-5 days after your period was due but most doctors won't do one that early.
With the home pregnancy test it can be 4 - 8 weeks after concieveing before you will get a possitive reaction. One of my sisters had negetive with home pregnancy tests, but an ultrasound found her to be 9 1/2 weeks along.

I found out 6 days past ovulation/conception, which was 8 days before my period was due. The line was so faint I had to squint though. I took a test everyday for a week and lined them up so I could see the line get darker each day. I used these early pregnancy tests that I bought on-line. I will never test that early again because I was so scared I would miscarry. Also my doctor wouldn't see me until I had skipped my period. The whole thing was shocking because I got pregnant the first time I tried, and the very first test was positive.

Some pregnancy tests can be done as early as 5 days before your period is due, some are 3 days, and some are the day of or the day after your period is due. It just depends on the brand.

First Response, for example, can be done up to 5 days before your period and there's a 69% chance of accuracy. The chances go up every day until you get to the day before your period where it's 94% and the day of your period it is 99% accurate. So, if you use this brand you can test as early as 5 days before...but for the best result, you should wait until at least the day before or day of your period due date to at least be in the 90 percentile range.

Good luck!

Well, I would say as early as 5 days before your expected menstrual. I in fact wasnt due for mine until the 11th, took 2 hpt today, and both came out positive. But blood would be more accurate early on.

Good Luck!
