The color barrier and why is it called that.Wasn't this just flat out racism??????

Of course, it was blatant racism. The "color barrier" is a way of saying "racism" politely. In other words, it is a euphemism.

The color barrier referrs to Major League Baseball in the 1940's when it was all white. There was the ***** leagues for African American players, but blacks were not "accepted" into MLB. Jackie Robinson became the first black player to play Major League Baseball, crossing the "color barrier", in 1947. And, I suppose depending on how you look at it, it was racism.
