Are clay pigeons the same as the skeets that they use for target practice? In which case the incubator should be set at 450 Degrees centigrade for a period of 8 Hours and then left to cool off slowly, otherwise they are too soft.
If you mean an actual pigeon, then about 2 minutes in boiling water will give you soft boiled and 4 1/2 to 5 for hard.

Your kiln should have a firing cone for a temp of "Bisque firing."
By the way clay pigeons are used for skeet shooting.
The gun handlers can breed, but the pideons can't.

I think the kiln should run at about 3000 degrees - but don't try standing there to watch them
If you're desparate try gas mark 8

If their being bread for long distance homeing they need to be fired at about 238°C
