it happened to me as well... and I posted once a question about this. they are too afraid to answer, they think the answer they would give is not the right one, the answer was already posted but they like the question... things like that.

Because it's the new thing. The networking. Some that don't know the answer will give it a star b/c the question is interesting. So,the people in your network will see it. Something new yahoo came up with!!!

Well... you give the question a star because it's a good question. For some reason, you can't answer it. Maybe you receive a star simply because someone likes you.

Because someone beat me to the answer that I was going to give. I won't repeat the same answer because I don't want to look like I'm coping someone else. I will give a star if I like the question.

Sometimes the question is really interesting and you can't answer it because you're out for the day. OR you want to see what other people are going to answer. Sometimes you just want to be an outsider and see how people react to questions. Sometimes you don't have knowledge of the topic and you want to be educated so you just look at the answers!!!

I'll star a question I like, then I'll scroll through the answers, and if I see one similar to what I was thinking, I won't bother to answer because I don't want to look like a copycat.

I have done that--but only because the answer I was going to use was already used so I just star it for my contacts to answer

They have seen the question and sometimes scroll down and will see that someone has answered as they might...so, they just star it and move along.

I just did for the first time so that someone else on my contact list would see the question. I know he'll want to answer it....
Otherwise, I don't know.
