I have no idea who is in the movie or what it is called...The only thing I know is that I've seen it on the Turner Classic Movies channel at least twice. It has a dumb/ditzy blonde with a really cute voice who is married to a mean older man. She meets a writer or something and he starts to show her how to read and she starts to get smart. I remember a specific scene where she goes to Washington D.C. if that helps! She has short blonde hair and dark reading glasses by the end of the movie where she helps get her bad husband in jail! It's in black and white and I just am going crazy not knowing what it is called and who the actress is! If you have ANY ideas about ANYTHING let me know!
thank you!

The actress was Judy Holliday and the film is Born Yesterday.

There was a more modern version, with a Black cast, not nearly as funny. Tried to be "relevant: and it did not work at all.

She was also in Bells Are Ringing, The Solid Gold Cadillac and several others. Funny lady

Born Yesterday. The blonde is Judy Holliday and I think the writer was William Holden and the husband Broderick Crawford.

I don't know the name to that movie sorry, but what you can do( and i've done it before) is go to TCM.com and go to the calendar page to see what movies were playing the day of or the week you saw it. They have the dates and times of almost all the movies they've played in the past year....... hope this helps
