There is a complaint line in the back of the store, close to the fishing department.

Just get in line.

You will notice there is a sign above the line that says, "If we notice more than 75 people waiting in this line, then we will reopen another line."

You can't complain "legally" about that.
You have no rights guaranteed by the U.S. constitution saying that you should be able to go into and back out of Wal-Mart in a certain amount of time.

That's just life, hon.

Go shop somewhere else.

I once met a guy who used to work for the Wal-Mart Corporation.. he said he quit because of their corporate policy... most businesses have a "Customer First" policy... Wal-Mart has a "Profit First" policy. So when profits are down, employees get fired... when employees get fired, customers stand in long lines and can't find anyone to help them with items in the aisles.

If you don't mind long lines, and no help from the lack of employees, then go on and shop there... they do have some good prices. Otherwise, keep in mind that Wal-Mart is a "private" business and they can run it however they please and they don't owe you or the public jack.

The checkers arent that slow. They do the same thing over and over all day. The problem is the customers arent fast enough paying or loading up the carts or that WM is usually understaffed. Legally you cant do anything, it is your choice to shop there or not. Your best bet is to email the company and they will likely respond if your email is a well written , courtious and to the point.

There's no where you can complain legally. The cashiers have to meet an Item Per Hour for their eval to still work there. (PLUS they bag for themselves!)

Why don't you apply to work there? Maybe you could change things.

If they don't have the people, they can't meet the demand. Simple. Thats how it is at every retail store. They should have every person in the store trained to run a register, thats what I would complain to the store manager about.

When I had a problem with a clerk, I called the store manager first and he took care of it. Now at Taco Bell, I got the manager fired because by calling the district manager. My daughter got food poisoning from there. We know it was from there we went through the health dept. The local manager was horribly rude among other things. So, if the store manager doesn't do anything about go above them to the district manager. But I would start locally first.
Good luck.

Wally World fights hundreds of big and small lawsuits every year.
Class action is your only leverage against a a mega company like them if you intend to win fairly.
They once had a "three in line guarantee".
Whenever I was fourth in line and saw a manager walking by, I would motion for them and point at the sign asking what my guarantee was.
I got all kinds of answers and excuses and looks.
One time I got a disgruntled floor manager tell it to me straight about how they were understaffed and cashiers were quitting at that time because of poor treatment, etc. by a manager who was "incompetent".
She wasn't there next time I went back. Hope she found a better job and didn't get fired.

Don't shop there.

There is no contract saying that the line will move fast, no law has been broken.

PS. Shop early Sunday morning like around 6am, that is the best time.

Those people get paid next to nothing, so you shouldn't expect much. They have to deal with so many rude customers (trust me, I worked in retail).
