Adjustments to the timing and carburetor are all you should need to change. No major modifications needed. Lifters and springs would be OK to change, but not necessary unless you're going to run high RPM's.

Your speaking a pair of genuine nightmare and that i does no longer recomend it.you will could exchange almost each thing. It merely isn't low-priced or common.i will see you having to alter everyting from the radiator lower back, and the radiator itself probable merely isn't suitable the two.And all this does not evaluate any emissions regulations you have gotten to handle on your section.in the event that they are choosy they'd merely fault you for having a V8 in a V6 motor vehicle even though if each thing works. The VIN quantity will continuously provide the vehicle away as an unique V6 even though how good a job you do.the excellent, least difficult, and maximum inexpensive element to do is sell that motor vehicle and bypass purchase a Firebird that got here initially with a V8 first of all.i understand that may no longer what you prefer to hearken to,yet don't get your self into something you would be apologetic approximately, alot!!!

NO you would need to change lifters and valve springs but you could probably do that for about another $200 in fact the lifters may even be included with the cam.

there is no such thing as a 3/4 racing cam, cams come in differen't degrees and you better know what you are putting in before you leap into it, you will also have to change the lifters and valve springs when you change the cam.

You'd need stiffer valve springs to keep them from floating at high rpm.
