Dominated by weird special interest groups. Democrats dominated by people "crying" over a pig in a farm. Or Republicans dominated by unscrupulous and greedy corporations that screw the average person and pushes the government in Washington to start all kinds of dirty wars to earn "profits". And the CEOs' kids are not send to those wars. The poor in the ghetto is the one sent. to fight their dirty wars like the one in Iraq, or Vietnam in the past. [And they exhibit their yellow ribbons of "Support our Troops". What a hypocrisy]. USA is captived of these vultures. Now is time to say "enough" and break up these two parties full of clowns and robbers. What do you think?

AMEN!!!!

I am more liberal than conservative, but I am sick of everyone looking at every single issue in this country through the tunnel vision of left and right. Our country, the diversity of the people, and the issues we face are far too complex to be creating these arbitrary and foolish dichotomies. Throw in the corruption and interest groups on top of that, and we're left with a mess.

I am not a fan of either party. I am an independent and prefer to vote for the person. However, I don't believe that the parties should be disbanded. What I would like to see happen is for people to wake up to the reality that we do not have to have these parties if we choose not to. I actually saw someone post that we must have a 2 party and only a 2 party system. This is contrary to idea of what democracy is supposed to be about and I think many people share this idea. This is why we do not see more 3rd party and independent candidates. Political parties have come and gone in our history. People should never buy into the idea that just because these 2 are large and well established that we cannot rid ourselves of them if we so choose as a people. Without our money and support they are nothing. In short the people need to reassert the idea of who really holds the power in this country.

NONE of them deserve the white house. Maybe the out house but no the white house. Democrate and Republician partys are both corrupt. Don't believe me? Just read about all the crapy things the Democrates have done right here on this site. Then read about all the crappy things the Republicans have done right here on this site. Where does that leave us? Voting for someone who you feel is the lesser of two evils. They all talk about CHANGE in this election. I've been listening to that B.S. for over 50 years. Until the people in this country start to think out of the box and quit voting for somebody because thier black, or a woman, or cute, or promise change or because they go with the most popular canidate because the don't want to vote for the loser, or because they are voting for the lesser of two evils, we will ride this merry go round forever. Its time for another party or to start voting indepentant all the way down the ballet. Untill you do, you deserve what you get. THE SAME OLD CRAP !!!!

They should be combined. It would be a lot more honest. That way the public would know they represent their highest donors--not the voters, and that they like the monopoly they have put into law with all those nifty ballot access laws to keep out the other parties.
Maybe then voters would see through the garbage about, "if you vote for a good candidate, the bad one will win."
Maybe then people will bring in actual election reform--like Instant Runoff Voting, and Clean Money Elections. And maybe the media will break down and report on the election like an election instead of a horse race.

Bruno, you missed the party! It happened in about 1917 with Lenin and perhaps the marx brothers. It was called communism and they managed to kill about 100 MILLION people over the next 70 years.Want to disband freedom and establish another tyranny.Fools never learn from history!Dude money is always the driving force behind EVERYTHING.You are either allowed to share in the spoils or you are nothing more then a btu unit (you dumbo liberals look it up) for the system.Capitalism works if you participate.

No. Let them duke it out so to speak and clean up both sides. Don't let either of them get away with anything anymore. It's high time we had all of these investigations. It's not as one-sided as it appears. With the Patriot Act being in force, there are 10 times the reasons for all of this oversight as there was before it was enacted.

The "poor in the ghetto" are sent to fight? COE's kids don't go to fight?

You are a long way from understanding why we need a two-party system. Start slower.

We have a need and a desire to have political parties in America. Reform is seriously needed, but no need to ban parties.

This is a free country, and it is our right to create and enjoy our political parties.
