Do you thin the US government is out of control? They take 1/3 of our pay checks, then tax us on what we buy, then tax us on what we own once a year. They no mandate that all new vehicles must have tire pressure monitoring systems and electronic stability control. If you have a leaky valve stem it will cost approx $250.00 to fix it plus tax. They tell buisness owners that they are not allowed to smoke in their buisness or let anynone else smoke in there. If a non smoker does not like it stay out! The war on drugs is failing misserably, they need to leaglize marijuanna but they wont cause they make too much money on it being illegal. what are your views?

In 1981 when I graduated we all had to come up with three forecasts for the future.

Mine were:
1. The United States would go through a revolution.
2. The seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter) would change.

Yes, I think we need a revolution. BUT, BEFORE THE BIG BROTHER GETS ALL WORKED UP, I DON'T MEAN VIOLENTLY. I mean that we need an immediate moral, ethical, social and political revolution. The best part is that we can accomplish this through the ballot box.
We need to get all of the politicians now in Washington and in our state capitols out of office. They have made a career out of a part time job. The have set themselves up as a new noble class, who actually rule the rest of the country as fiefs. You note I did not say slaves, else someone would have to apologize some day to some one who had nothing to do with it in the first place. Just another example of vote hunting.
It's not onlly the taxes, it is everything. Look at the Alternative Minimum Tax. Originally intended for the ultra rich, who paid not taxes, it is now hitting more and more of the middle class, who have to work the first three months this year to pay their taxes, before they can keep a dollar themselves.
Take their perks and goodies away, including golen health care and pensions, expense accounts, out of sight salaries, special treatment including haircuts and food. The money they collect from lobbyists is obscene - stop it. They take world junckets at taxpayer expense - stop it.
They claim they need all these goodies to make the job worthwhile, all I have to say is "if they believe that, they are being ouright liars." If it is all that bad, why do they fight so to get in and then to stay there?

All governments are out of control, some more than others, it is the nature of the system.
Yes laws are passed to protect the health of citizens, we can't all like them. and taxes are high for the middle class, low for the upper, not equal. hen the poor make the laws, it may change.
Yes the so-called war on drugs if failing like all wars on everything else. that is the nature of fighting rather than researching preventive compassionate methods.
Freedom is a fragile concept, not everyone is ready for it. And money is at the basis of all wars. next time a politician declares war on any subject, send an e-mail to voice your concern. there may be hope in the keyboard yet.

The US can have a revolution. The catch is, it won't happen by Americans. See, America use to be a melting pot, but someone turned the stove off. No one sticks together in this country these days. It's the outsiders, lets say Mexicans for example, they know how to stick together. They are from the same country, same ethics, same poor life. When they feel enough is enough, they'll do the dirty work and be able to overthrow the government because they stuck together.
