i have two gouramis, a black moore, a calico goldfish, and a very small koi

Get a larger aquarium,start digging a pond,and study the adult sizes of your fish before you buy them,plus the water is either too cold for the gourami or to warm for the goldfish and the koi.

If you have a sexed pair of gouramis, the perfect plants for them are Crystalwort and Java moss. They'll take chunks of them & build a nest out of them to lay their eggs in. Even if you only have males, its still pretty neat to see them build a nest out of crystalwort and spit.

A good all-around plant for beginners is Water Wisteria (hydrophilla deformis)

...... that is not a good combination....... i hope you meant 2 goldfish........ the gouramis and the goldfish arent compatible and neither are the koi and goldfish... if it was tropical i would say java fern
