At a press conference held at L.A.'s California Science Center -- where he was joined by Wall, Pharrell Williams, Mana and Cameron Diaz -- Gore said the July 7 events will kick off a "mass persuasion campaign" intended to take his efforts against global warming to the next level. He said the campaigns will outline ways that viewers, companies and governments can take action.

Global warming is not caused by humans, and a global "carbon tax" would not solve anything. In fact it would give more power to the elite globalists, who want to eventually instill a socialist world government - an end to the existence of countries, including the united states.

actually, limpdick, it is obvious that the government, not necessarily bush, pulled off 9/11.

yeah, global warming is real, and we are seeing the results...but no, it was not caused by humans. your 90% number i suspect was pulled out of your @ss?

humans cause such a small amount of it, not to say that they don't pollute a lot, but there are many contributing factors to global warming that we can do nothing about. However, the biggest factor in this is the sunspot activity. Other planets in the solar system are also getting warmer. how do you explain that?

2007-04-06 11:42:44 · update #4

tony, don't be stupid. we do want to cut down on the emissions, i am just saying a carbon tax is not the way to go.

They do? Wow, where do I sign up? I can't think of almost anything better than a world socialist government, and the abolitionment of nation-states. Except for maybe my continuing hope that people would stop being so MORONIC and not recognizing the scientific community is more than 90% CERTAIN that Global Warming is at least in part caused by humans, that the effects are already being seen on every continent and in some oceans, and that very bad things are coming if we don't try to address the problem now. Is it brainwashing? Not any more than anything the U.S. government puts out about the war, terrorism, drugs, etc.

O.K. you say "it is a theory on how the world will end" could you name one reputable scientist or scientific group who have stated this anywhere anytime. Even worst case scenario (which no scientific group is predicting) the Antarctic and Greenland melting completely is not going to end the world, that's just silly. Sea level has risen many times in the past as natural climate change has melted the poles and all glaciers. The predicted change is going to happen over ~100 years so no one is likely to be caught in a flash flood. It is the buildings and infrastructure of major cities that are at risk and that is an economic effect. The current estimate is that ~50% of our emissions are absorbed by natural sinks like plant life. "most of all not BREATHE." sorry but that is a denier myth human extract their co2 from the food we eat, in simple terms what you breathe out came from the atmosphere in the first place that is a cycle. What a car emits comes from oil, which has been under ground for around 100 million years, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and sea levels were around 100m higher than today, there were no ice caps. bravozulu repeats the doomsday end of the world theory, I still see no evidence that this has ever been stated by any scientist, Come on deniers you like to talk about lack of evidence and religions, were is the evidence backing this claim.

Worry not who is at fault in the global warming issue; buy blankets, water barrels, and a bunch of insulation for your home.
Elite globalists reside in all governments, people must take personal responsibility for their political choices.
If this country continues to spend the defense budget on maintaining war zones elsewhere, there will not be enough funds for domestic health and agriculture. Other powers may invest in whatever is left of us.
I don't really want to learn Chinese or build a bomb shelter.
I would rather build a windmill and drill my own well, and listen to a free radio in my language of choice and breathe clean air too.

gore is full to the brim with crap. And yes this "mass persuasion" will indeed be brainwashing, probably reaching for a fan bask of teens and a little above in age, probably through MTV and things like that. He's enlisted celebs because he knows how teenagers these days are devout followers of whatever celebrities say.

This is really dangerous, and I believe people are waking up to Gore, I mean really, he is the hugest hypocrite. His house uses more electrity in one month than an average american uses is a whole year!

World socialist government my ***.

Why don't you worry about a real issue, like the Iraq War, or relations with Iran?

Get your head out of the sand. The oceans are warming incrementally, and glacial ice around the world is melting and leaving landmasses to enter the ocean, which WILL cause flooding.

Carbon dioxide gas is KNOWN to absorb infrared radiation, and it is KNOWN with certainty that humans are releasing enormous amounts of carbon dioxide gas into the atmosphere.

If you doubt that, park your car in your living room and leave it idling for a few weeks. Let us know how that turns out.

I understand what you're saying.

But even if Global Warming isn't caused by humans, does it really excuse the way we treat the environment? Facts are, we're treating it pretty bad right now.

If there's any "globalists" out there, it's American and Western corporations.... not exactly supportive of socialism. lol your right wing propaganda makes me laugh though, so I'll give you a thumbs up, I needed a good laugh today.

Mass hysteria over nothing. CO2 is causing global warming! Oh no! Guess what you exhale? CO2! Stop breathing!

This is almost as bad as those who think President Bush planned 9/11.

You people need help.

I'll tell you what I'll cause some global warming with Cameron Diaz any day. they are all being led on a fools errand. humans dint cause global warming and cant stop it. like i said my goal is to have a carbon foot print the size of a oil tanker.

They're trying to put global warming propaganda everywhere. Why can't we see a major interview of a scientist who DOESN'T belive in global warming caused by man?
